I’ve been a preeeetty big chocolate addict for a while now, until recently actually. I use to have a piece of dark chocolate every day, for probably more than 2 months. That’s when I was eating super strict and super clean, so eating that made me feel sane.
I am no longer considering myself vegan. Putting a label on how I live just makes things more complicated than it needs to be. I am not vegan, for I consume honey and have just recently started eating eggs on occasion.
Simply because I want too. I’ve been way to strict on myself for way too long. I didn’t allow myself to have what I really wanted to eat, because I was so stuck on what was the healthiest option. I wouldn’t eat peanut butter because I’d fear too much would make me look fat. Or I wouldn’t eat chips because there’d be oil in them. I was just so strict and it became too much.
I’m ready to loosen the grip and start living the life that I genuinely want, not what I THINK I want..but what I truly do want. I haven’t had alcohol in over a year or something like that, and there have been plenty of times where I’d want to enjoy a glass of wine.
So the other day, Mike and I went and got some wine just because! We wanted too!
Life is supposed to be fun, we’re supposed to be living it to the fullest, right?
So let’s do it!
This brownie dessert is actually completely healthy for you to eat lol. It contains dates, raw cacao powder, cinnamon, strawberries, almonds, and optional cacao nibs.
It is raw, vegan, and delicious
- 2 cups of dates
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp raw cacao powder
- Sliced strawberries
- Sliced almonds
- Raw cacao nibs
- Soak dates in hot water for about 5 minutes
- Drain water
- Add dates, cinnamon, and raw cacao powder to a food processor
- Blend all together
- Add to small glass dish, press down and add toppings of your desire.
It’s ooey and gooey, it’s very yummy. Hope you enjoy this delicious treat!
